In partnership with GMLD, Energy New England (ENE) provides no-cost Home Energy Assessments for GMLD’s residential customers. Our highly trained and experienced Residential Energy Advisors will assess your home’s energy efficiency to identify heating, lighting, weatherization, and rebate opportunities that can save you money on your utility bills. 

ENE’s Energy Advisor conducts an in-person or virtual walk-through of your home, inputting information into our energy-efficiency software to create a report for you that analyzes your home’s energy usage, identifies home improvement projects that can lower your energy costs, and links to GMLD’s rebates and incentives. 1. Rebate program is for residential electric accounts only. Commercial accounts aren’t eligible to participate.
2. Georgetown Municipal Light Department (GMLD) will determine your electric account’s eligibility to participate in the program.
3. An active residential electric account with GMLD is required (6 months).
4. Electric account must be in good standing for at least 6 months.
5. Applicant must own the property linked to the account.
6. Rebate item must be installed at account location.
7. Resident must agree to allow GMLD to inspect the installation on premises.
8. Rebate maximums reset on Jan. 1 each year.
9. Rebate offer is subject to funding availability and can expire at any time.

Sign up for this valuable EV rewards program open to Georgetown residents. Simply set your electric vehicle to charge between 10 p.m. – 12 p.m. (next day) and complete the enrollment process. You then earn a $10/month credit on your GMLD electric bill for Level 2 charging or a $5/month credit for Level I charging.

GMLD also offers a $300 rebate on new installed Smart (Wi-Fi Capable) Level 2 chargers. For eligibility and restrictions please see the GMLD website.

A home energy assessment is required prior to applying for a GMLD weatherization rebate. Sign up online or call Energy New England (ENE) at 888‐772‐4242 to schedule. Your assessment will provide a list of energy-saving recommendations.

• Rebate maximum is $500, per year, per account.
• Rebate can be any combination of air sealing & insulation.
• Rebate will not exceed 50% of job cost.
• Home energy assessment date must be within 5 years of the job date.
• Work can be completed by a contractor or self-install. Self-installed labor costs aren’t eligible for rebate.
• Rebate issued as a check.
• Purchase date must be within the current calendar.
• Application must be submitted to the portal or postmarked by 12/31 of the current calendar year.
• Weatherization rebate application void if MassSave Weatherization rebate has been utilized by account holder.

A home energy assessment is strongly recommended prior to applying for a GMLD air source heat pump rebate. Sign up online or call Energy New England (ENE) at 888‐772‐4242 to schedule. Your assessment will provide a list of energy-saving recommendations.

• Rebate maximum is two systems (not to exceed $1,000).
• 1 system = 1 outdoor condenser.
• Systems included in a home purchase are not eligible for rebates.
• 1 Ton = 12,000 BTU/hr. Item’s BTUs are measured at 95 degrees.
• Purchase date must be within the current calendar.
• ASHP applications must be submitted to the portal or postmarked by 1/15 of the following year.
• Rebate issued as a check.
• Air Source Heat Pump rebate application void if MassSave Air Source Heat Pump rebate has been utilized by account holder.
