Groveland is a small residential community in the setting of a convenient suburb that retains all of the characteristics of a friendly rural town. The town was incorporated in 1850 after spending the 17th and 18th centuries attached first to Rowley and then to Bradford.

HOME ENERGY ASSESSMENTS

Energy New England (ENE) provides no-cost energy assessments to residential customers of its partnering utilities. ENE’s expert Residential Energy Advisors will assess your home to identify heating, lighting, and weatherization opportunities can lead to increased energy efficiency and save money on your utility bills. All participants receive a Home Energy Assessment report that describes potential home improvements, the return-on-investment ratio, and a summary of rebate programs. What can I expect during my Home Energy Assessment?

REBATES PROGRAMS: ELECTRIC ACCOUNT ELIGIBILITY & RESTRICTIONS
  1. Rebate program is for residential electric accounts only. Commercial accounts aren’t eligible to participate.
  2. Groveland Municipal Light Department (GMLD) will determine your electric account’s eligibility to participate in the program.
  3. An active residential electric account with GMLD for at least 6 months.
  4. Electric account must be in good standing: no arrears for the past 6 months (current month’s charges are okay).
  5. Rebate item must be installed at account location.
  6. Resident must agree to allow GMLD to inspect the installation on premises.
  7. Rebate maximums reset on Jan. 1.
  8. Offer is subject to funding availability and can expire at any time.

ENERGY STAR® APPLIANCE REBATES

GMLD is pleased to offer rebates to customers purchasing ENERGY STAR-rated appliances. ENERGY STAR-rated products are significantly more energy-efficient than the average comparable model.

AIR-SOURCE HEAT PUMP REBATES

A home energy assessment is required prior to applying for a GMLD air-source heat pump rebate. Sign up online or call Energy New England (ENE) at 888‐772‐4242 to schedule. Your assessment will provide a list of energy-saving recommendations.

WEATHERIZATION REBATES

  • Qualifying measures are those recommended from the Energy Audit/Home Energy Assessment.

  • Rebate maximum is $1,000.
  • Rebate will not exceed 50% of job cost.
  • Work can be completed by a contractor or self-install. Self-installed labor costs aren’t eligible for rebate.
  • Rebate issued as a check.
  • Purchase date must be within the current calendar.
  • Application must be submitted to the portal or postmarked by 12/31 of the current calendar year.
