Energy Saving Rebates and Programs

HOME ENERGY ASSESSMENTS

In partnership with LELWD, Energy New England (ENE) provides no-cost Home Energy Assessments for LELWD’s residential customers. Our highly trained and experienced Residential Energy Advisors will assess your home’s energy efficiency to identify heating, lighting, weatherization, and rebate opportunities that can save you money on your utility bills.

ENE’s Energy Advisor conducts an in-person or virtual walk-through of your home, inputting information into our energy-efficiency software to create a report for you that analyzes your home’s energy usage, identifies home improvement projects that can lower your energy costs, and links to LELWD’s rebates and incentives. RENEWABLE ENERGY CREDIT

The Littleton Electric Light Department offers a renewable energy credit to all residential electric customers who choose to receive this credit. This is possible because the Littleton Electric Light Department receives certain financial incentives to invest in and develop renewable projects, and we want to give these financial incentives back to our residential electric customers.

In order to receive this credit, the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources requires that our customers opt-in to this program. We anticipate that the customers who choose to receive this credit will receive $0.50 to $5.00 off their electric bill each month!

The credit amount that we give back to our customers will depend on how many Littleton Electric Light residential customers choose to receive this credit and how much revenue Littleton Electric Light receives from these renewable projects.

LITTLETON DRIVES ELECTRIC

Littleton Drives Electric is a local initiative designed to raise awareness about the benefits of replacing gasoline powered vehicles with EVs. Residents in Littleton are encouraged to test drive and experience the speed and power of EVs firsthand. Please visit LELWD’s website for more information and rebate applications.

DISTRIBUTED GENERATION
The Littleton Electric Light & Water Departments is accepting residential and commerical customers interested in installing solar and other distributed generation systems on their home or business.

FREE SHADE TREE PROGRAM
Trees provide natural cooling and consume carbon dioxide. LELWD crews will plant the trees in a location mutually agreeable to the homeowner and LELWD. A mature tree can lower energy use between 100-250 kilowatt-hours per year if planted within 30 feet of east, west, southeast or southwest side of the house.

Enjoy the shade, beauty and other benefits of two new maple trees in your yard! Sign up for trees planted this autumn by LELWD.
